The Hong Kong Paralympic Committee (HKPC) welcomes the launch of the five-year pilot programme on career and education for Para athletes in the 2022 Policy Address delivered by Chief Executive Mr. John Lee Ka-Chiu GBM SBS PDSM PMSM, today ( 19 October 2022) to equip Para athletes for their post-retirement career development. The programme will give every Para athlete a boost that they can focus on their full-time training and participation in competitions since placement opportunities will be offered to retired athletes for adapting into the community and building an inclusive society.
The Hong Kong Paralympic Committee extends sincere thanks to the HKSAR Government for its continuous support of the development of Para sports in Hong Kong. The Committee is excitingly encouraged and will continue devoting to moving forward the development of Hong Kong’s Para sports, as well as coordinating the participation of the Hong Kong, China delegation in major international multi-sports games, bringing honour to Hong Kong.
