Corporate governance

Corporate governance and transparency are material issues for China Hong Kong Paralympic Committee, including the athlete selection mechanism, and maintains close communication with various national sports associations on related matters from time to time.

We regularly reviews the systems and guidelines of all departments to ensure a high level of transparency and accountability. We have established and implemented relevant policies and guidelines, and will continue to develop and introduce new policies to strengthen our governance structure and processes, enabling it to effectively fulfill its responsibilities.

Policies

Guideline and Procedure on Anti-Doping

As local mandate of International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and Asian Paralympic Committee (APC), China Hong Kong Paralympic Committee Limited (HKPC) is responsible for assisting Anti-Doping Organization of Hong Kong, China Limited (“ADOHK”) in HKSAR, China in initiating, implementing and enforcing the Doping Control process and fulfilling all its obligations under the International Standards, to ensure Para athletes can focus to seek to maintain the integrity of sport in terms of respect for rules, other competitors, fair competition, a level playing field, and the value of clean sport to the world. Para Athletes can pursue human excellence without the use of prohibited substances or methods.

Guidelines and Procedure on Child Safeguarding Policy

To promote child safeguarding and avoid child maltreatment/abuse in all aspects of daily operation, HKPC should be committed to the protection and welfare of children involved in all its activities. Guidelines and procedures should be devised and implemented to raise the awareness and acceptance of responsibilities to safeguard children from any form of harm.
