The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games will be held from 28 August to 8 September, featuring 22 Sports. The China Hong Kong Paralympic committee officially revealed the delegation list at the ceremony today. Hong Kong, China will send a delegation of 69 people in total, in which 23 athletes will participate in 8 Sports, namely badminton, table tennis, boccia, equestrian, swimming, fencing, archery and athletics. Additionally, the team will be accompanied by 46 coaches, sports science and medical personnel, support staff and officials.

Mr. John Lee Ka-chiu GBM, SBS, PDSM, PMSM, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region stated, “The Hong Kong SAR government fully supports the development of sports in Hong Kong, with a budget exceeding 130 million in the 2024-25 financial year to promote sports for people with disabilities. The Jockey Club Athlete Incentive Awards Scheme will also double its cash incentives this year to strongly support Hong Kong athletes in striving for excellence in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. To allow citizens to fully enjoy the Olympic events, the government has specially purchased the broadcasting rights for the Paris Olympics and Paralympics. I sincerely wish all athletes great success at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and return home triumphant! !”
